There’s something really special about a kitchen that manages to feel both stylish and totally livable—and this one nails that balance beautifully. It’s warm, inviting, and filled with thoughtful design choices that make it as functional as it is gorgeous. We’ll walk you through the materials and finishes we used in this space, along with specific features we wanted to showcase to clients who visit our showroom!
A Beautiful Blend of Wood and Color
The first thing you notice is the cabinetry. Our goal when working with Crystal Cabinets was to create a two-toned color palette that would be harmonious and feel inviting when you entered the room, without being boring. The lower cabinets and tall pantry are made from natural cherry wood with a warm, rich grain that gives the whole kitchen a cozy, grounded feel. On top, the “Cloud Gray” upper cabinets add a modern touch without feeling too cold. The mix of wood and color is just right—it’s classic, but with a fresh twist.

Right under the window is a large farmhouse-style sink with a sleek stainless-steel apron front that makes a bold statement. It’s paired with a matte black faucet that complements the rest of the fixtures. That window doesn’t just offer a view—it brings in tons of natural light, making the kitchen feel open and airy.
The U-shaped layout is super practical too. There’s plenty of counter space for cooking, baking, or even just laying out snacks for guests. Storage is generous and well thought out, with everything tucked away neatly behind those beautiful cabinets.
Light, Bright, and Practical

Classic Finishes with a Modern Twist
The countertops are definitely a standout—white with soft gray veining that adds just the right amount of drama without overpowering the space. They pair perfectly with the white subway tile backsplash that runs all the way up to the ceiling, giving the kitchen a clean, timeless look.

Thoughtful Details Everywhere
Lighting in this kitchen is not just functional, it’s part of the design. Twin black-and-white sconces frame the window giving off a sprinkle of mid-century into this transitional kitchenette. Under-cabinet lights make food prep easier to see and with the integrated outlets, easier to operate plug-in appliances anywhere along the countertop. And then there are the little details that bring it all together—a few open shelves with books and plants, textured floor tile laid in a classic herringbone pattern, and interior lighting inside two of the wall cabinets to showcase beautiful glassware.
Our Final Thoughts
This kitchenette feels like the kind of place where you’d love to start your morning with a cup of coffee—or wind down at the end of the day with a glass of wine. It’s a beautiful mix of modern and traditional, polished but comfortable. If you’re dreaming about a kitchen that’s both functional and full of character, this one is definitely worth bookmarking.
